How do I use two-factor authentication to protect my account and bitcoin?

If you’ve already set up two-factor authentication, you can choose to require 2FA for specific high-security actions within your Strike account.

What actions can I protect with 2FA?

By default, once 2FA is enabled, it will be required any time you log back into your Strike account after logging out. In addition, you can choose to require 2FA for protected actions such as:

  • Updating account information
  • Initiating sends and withdrawals

Once enabled, Strike will prompt you to confirm these actions using your 2FA method before they can be completed.

To enable 2FA for protected actions:

  1. Go to your Account screen
  2. Tap Security
  3. Tap "Protected actions"
  4. Choose Account updates or Sends & withdrawals

Once selected, any time you update account details in the Strike app or initiate a send or withdrawal, you'll be required to verify with your 2FA method.

Managing your 2FA method:

Once set up, you can manage your keys by tapping “Manage passkeys” — allowing you to add, rename, or remove keys. You can also switch between 2FA methods at any time:

  1. From your Account screen, tap Security
  2. Authenticate with your current method
  3. Choose your new method: passkey, security key, or authenticator app

All changes to 2FA require authentication for your protection.

Remember, never share your 2FA codes or recovery codes. Strike will never ask for these or your PIN. If you suspect unauthorized activity on your account, contact support@strike.me immediately.
